What's the board consensus on this show? I started watching it last week and have made it through the first four episodes. It seems really good so far.

it's freakin awesome but you'll be tremendously let down.
HBO fricked us in the goatz arse with this show. They didn't finish the storyline and rushed the ending to close it out. The creator/writer of the show said it was supposed to be a 3-4 chapter/multi-season arc.
Never got that far.

A great series by HBO. I still canoot beleive they canceled it after the second season.
This series and Deadwood should have never been canceled when they where by the powers to be at HBO.

Had run it's cock sucking course in my opinion. They got everything they could from the show. Only thing they could have done was delay entry of businessmen and the railroad. It was pretty much just a tribute to the end o the old west...it did it justice.

and I dont know about tremendously let down. The last episode is a season finale, so there is some resolve but nothing like what it could of been.

I'm hoping that there will be at least some closure. I know the series was intended to be broken into sets of "books", with each book containing two seasons. So the last episode is supposed to wrap up the first book. I've seen someone differing opinions on this though.

I really enjoyed Carnivale...Well made..good symbolism...good storyline...great characters... but what others said...it should've been finished correctly..

I loved it but was severely disappointed there wasn't a season 3. They left us fricking hanging.
