Ok so I wore my new mercurial safaris this weekend, and like all mercurials before they gave me huge blisters on my heels. I have games tonight and tommorrow and then off for thanksgiving.
How would you guys cover these both so they dont hurt as I run and also so they dont continue to rub and make the blisters worse?

TIA

Somebody's loaded.

But I normally just put some foam athletic padding and athletic tape on the balls of my feet to avoid blisters.

ETA: I noticed that you were concerned with your heels. I don't know how you would tape them. If you look online for sports injuries, I'm sure you can find a proper remedy.

drink a pint of gasoline and start punching holes in dry wall installations. chest hair will start erputing above your sternum and your blisters, like your tender soul, will harden up into callouses.

Just put on a blister bandaid or doube up on socks, I couldn't wear vapors because they destroyed my feet.

maybe you could use some moleskin. It's thick and sticky on one side so it might work for the heel. Otherwise, do you have some old cleats you could wear until they heal?

yea, had to wear the old ones sunday after breaking these new guys in Saturday. I guess ill use old ones until the blisters heal, I have those blister bandages but I need to stuff something over them, because it still rubs or whatever.

Thanks guys, love the soccer board

Available at your local Walmart.

One 2" strip on each blister spot, and you'll never have another issue.

It adheres, but doesn't stick to your skin, so you won't kill yourself taking it off.

I had heel blister issues forever, but I started putting a strip on each heel a while back... never had an issue since.

Sometimes I jog in mine in the off season just to keep my calluses up. Granted these are new so that wouldn't really be a help at the moment, but just something to think about in the future.

My advice would be to not buy cleats you know are going to give you blisters

This. A $50 pair from Target that fits better is, well, better.

Smear this directly on your skin LINK and some athletic tape & gauze (for padding) on top of that. NEVER had a blister after I started doing this before every game
