Sorry, but I agree with everything the guy said in that article.

You agree that Stanford and Wisconsin should jump LSU in the polls?

Let this put the matter to bed: Stanford is better than LSU. Wisconsin deserves a higher ranking than LSU does.
screw him ...........

You have never been an LSU fan & your posting history proves it.

The truth hurts. Neither Tennessee nor Ole Miss should have been on the same field with LSU, yet the Tigers had to eek both games out in the last minute to win. Florida this year is mediocre at best, and we had the same scenario.
The bottom line is LSU has won those games, which is why the computers love LSU - a win is a win is a win to them. Voters have biases and emotions that play into their votes.

Too many high-wire acts, too many close-to-the-edge moments, make LSU a pale shadow of a Stanford team that – say what you want about the Pac-10’s lack of depth – is crushing opponents left and right.
Wow--so Stanford can routinely crush non-ranked opponents.
Congrats to them.
Sportswriters are such idiots.
These are undoubtedly the same geniuses who chose to crown USC in '03 because they dominated such a "great" Michigan team in the garbage Rose Bowl.
Just keep winning, Tigers. It'll work itself out.

The truth doesn't hurt me at all.......Playing a rivalry game against an SEC team in NOV and winning works for me.......Writers are biased bitches who think it has to be pretty........
Winning with style is overrated!!!!!!!!!! Just like media's opinions.

which is exactly why the computers are a necessary part of the equation...the media, and many LSU fans, are in major CYA mode right now because they predicted Les wouldn't survive this year and LSU would finish with 5 or 6 losses. So now we'll get a heavy dose of "lucky", "still not that good", "mediocre Florida", etc., so that they don't have to admit they were wrong in their initial assessment. If Bama loses to Auburn, we'll probably see "win over a bad Bama team" quotes as well.

They need material so they're constantly looking to stir up contraversy. Easy to do with statements like his. But Tiger fans know that every time we step onto the field against an SEC team, it's going to be tough...never know what the outcome will be.
And you can agree and disagree with almost every sports writer's opinion. That's thier job.
I'm happy we won. It wasn't pretty, but it was a "W" and I think the problems we had this week will give the team better focus for next week.

This team has played too many close games against inferior opponents to be considered national title contenders. the 2003 and 2007 teams would have dismantled some of the teams LSU has struggled with this year. The only thing keeping LSU's ranking as high as it is is the ill advised BCS's decision to remove margin-of-victory from the formula in 2002.

dude great 1st post, but the '03 team "dismantled" ole miss by 3 points.....

I honestly don't think we're national championship contenders, but we've lost one in one of the toughest conferences in America...no matter what the sportswriter's say, the SEC is still the toughest conference.
And I agree with taking the scoring margin out. It helps teams that play in tough conferences and makes it fair. I honestly don't care about winning huge as long as we win. I'd rather an ugly win than a pretty loss any day.

those dumbass's can say what ever the frick they want. But it wont change the fact that we will still be number 5 when the bcs comes out.

And didn't the 06 Sugar Bowl team go to OT with a bad OM Orgeron coached team. He got fired that year I believe.

Then win games in a more convincing manner.
Then you try and beat you heads against the wall wondering why most Arkansas fans think they will smoke LSU by 3 touchdowns?
It is gonna take more than a lateral field goal or on side kick to beat us.

So when you speak into your team's trophy case, exactly how long does the echo last?

Then most Arky fans are totally delusional. You may win, but it won't be by that much.
