In order for the deal to pass muster under league rules, it actually would be executed as two separate trades to get around a restriction preventing Bayless from being included in a multi-player deal prior to Dec. 23 -- two months from the date the Hornets acquired Bayless from Portland.
A trade call likely will take place in about an hour.

If it does go through, at least Jack does seem to be a true backup PG option. But for an expiring and and a younger, better prospect?

He can't be traded with someone else until then. We could trade him straight up for Jarrett Jack though if Toronto was cool with it.

I know lots of people like Jack, but this hoopshype description of him sounds a lot like Bayless.
Plus what little I've read about the raptors this season they like Jack and I can't see them trading him for a similar player. Banks would just be expiring filler and Andersen is a finesse center, not a banger. I just don't see it for either side.

That is an absolutely terrible trade. Bayless is better than Jack once he gets comfortable in this offense, and I don't even know who those other two players are.

I don't know too much about the other two besides Jack, but I said that same thing about Belinelli and Smith. I trust Demps and our scouts, if we do this, then it has to be a good trade. I don't think they'd blow Peja's contract for a bad trade. I guess this means they really do want to hang on the Thornton, at least for now.

yeah ,
on the surface of it I really don't know what to think of this alleged trade. Part of me doesn't like it because I think B-Rex has more upside than Jack does. I know shite about the other two...the other part of me says trust the FO , they obviously know what they are doing , but what strikes me as curious is the fact Marcus isn't mentioned....sure seems strange given all that has gone down since the season started.
