so you'd have first right of refusal for 6 spots at (so $120-$240 per game)
I'd almost be ok with it if it guaranteed our spot. I said almost....

Where do you think most tickets on stubb hub & scalpers originate from?
please focus

That's a great idea... and then instead of me paying $40 for parking I could just buy one from a season ticket holder for like $10.

i think your discounted season tickets are more than enough to encourage you to go to the games.

i never said anything about changing the prices
i'm only saying that you offer the edit new pay lots to season ticket holders without parking passes first

It has everything to do with the discussion. You said parking priority should go to the loyal season ticket holders. I'm just letting you know that not all season ticket holders are loyal. Only the ones that attend the games are. I'm not doubting your allegiance to LSU football because I didn't get my season tickets for the last 5 years from you.

Season ticket holders pay face value + TAF fees and then turn around and sell tickets for less than what they paid... just figured it would work the same w/ parking passes. I'm all for it.

and nice retort BT. we expect nothing more from you.
you want less people tailgating.
Speaking of expecting nothing more...
why dont you just go to the park on highland road so you can have your privacy.

at this point in time, LSU doesn't care what happen after they get their money. in that respect, the season ticket holders are loyal to LSU for their ticket renewals

It's the socialist idea of capitalism

Or how about just to make money in general? Hell you spend all day there, why shouldn't the University make money off of you? Sounds like smart business to me.
Capitalism, baby! I don't agree with the amount of the fees and think they'll create other problems, but if you don't want to pay them, don't tailgate. It's that simple. I think this sucks, but it is what it is. This whole thing would be more palatable if the money went to the university and not the AD. Why should the AD get my money if I park in the Renewable Resources lot?

Totally agree, campus gets absolutely shredded.

I like the idea of offering the season ticket holders a shot at these passes.
One group I haven't seen talked about (or maybe I missed it) is the fans that don't necessarily tailgate (myself included in this group). I am a season ticket holder and TAF member. I usually park in the Vet school lot and have to get there early to be able to get a spot. Don't tailgate but wander around campus hit the gift shop and bookstore. Hang out in front the PMAC and then go in when the TAF "tailgate" opens up.
Odds of a getting a spot at the Vet school just dropped and I'll end up paying to park in the Levee lot. Yeah. it's an aggravation and added expense (I agree they could come down on those prices) but I'll pay it so I can keep doing somethign I love and that's going watch the Tigers play in Tiger Stadium.
Guess my main point is it's not just the "tailgaters" that will be effected, but the people just there for the game as well.

"LSU" and "loyalty" are oxymorons.

You can call it whatever you want but I got tired of paying TAF money every year to sit on a wait list and hope to one day get season tickets... now I get tickets for less than I would pay for season tickets and don't have to worry about TAF.

right BT. where was your spot again that you're giving up? i'll be sure to recommend it to someone who deserves it.

No. How many loyal season ticket holders would be attending the ULM game if LSU was a 6 loss team this year and fork out $40 to park?

is that not what you said?

, I dont deserve it because I think its price gouging to charge 90 bucks per game to tailgate?
GTFO.

as far as LSU is concerned, loyalty is fulfilled once they receive the funds for those tickets
loyalty, in my sense of the word, only refers to financial loyalty
LSU can makes these into pay lots like the others area, and an extension of the current parking secondary market will be created
