Okay so I went to play Black Ops today and i get the 3 light "red circle of death" on my 360 so thats pretty unfortunate...ive heard different things about how to go about fixing it, but I was hoping a few of you may have gone through it and gotten it fixed correctly...any help would be appreciated
*no longer under warranty so I guess sending it back would be last option*

Wrap it in a towel, turn it on, let it sit for 30min getting really hot. Take out, and turn iff, then back on. It works a few times.

The warranty is extended on RROD fixes.
Go to xbox online and get a claim form, they will send you a postage paid box, and in a week or so you will have a fixed Xbox.

go to youtube and search for xbox 360 RROD x-clamp fix. It requires you taking apart your xbox and doin a bit of work on it. If you've ever worked on any kind of electronics before or computers at all it'll be a cake walk. There is 3 video's for the x-clamp fix and it works 100% of the time if you do it right and the fix is permanent.
The RROD is caused when the heat sinks seperated from the processors. They seperate and then the thermal paste between the heat sinks and processors get fissures/cracks in them and you dont have a good connection and you get the RROD. The x-clamps are what hold the heat sinks onto the processors and they are shitty pieces of flimsy metal that bend when the xbox gets real hot. The x-clamp fix basically replaces the x-clamps with screws and nylon washers and you put new paste down. I've fixed several 360's with this and its worked every time.
