Who comes to mind?
I'm guessing it's Pistol Pete Maravich or Shaq, but I'm an old fart. What does the current generation think?

Shaq has his number retired INSIDE an arena named after Pistol Pete..

Its PM and not even close.

I'd have to say Shaq, but I'm too young to remember Pistol Pete.

Honorable Mentions: Billy Cannon, Kevin Faulk, Skip Bertman, Nick Saban, Les Miles and Ben McDonald.

I think Steve Van Buren is huge too. I know Philadelphia fans love him. He led them to two of their only three titles in football. He was on the NFL's 75th Anniversary team.

FYI - I was just looking him up and saw that he still alive at 89 and living in Lancaster, PA. He won three straight rushing titles.
