The Famous Duct-Taped Goat Horns

After seeing the pics of the goat horns with duct tape on them I had to laugh. As weird as it looks there is an actual reason this is done. I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this but sticks and sometimes pieces of pipes are attached to the horns of goats to keep them from sticking their head through net wire and getting hung up. I learned this after my nephew raised a goat last year for 4-H and my brother in law attached a piece of pvc pipe across the horns with a set of u-bolts. I hope I didn't ruin the mystique or mystery of the goat horns but I thought some of you might like to know the actual reason.
