The CBS cameras caught Les Miles eating blades of grass on the sidelines of Saturday’s game. If the chips somehow fall his way — and from what we’ve seen this season, there’s nothing that would make us think they won’t — Miles could be eating a lot more than just grass come Jan. 10th. He could be eating the hearts and dreams of college football fans across the country, leading the first team to not win its division into a BCS Championship Game.

If it can possible happen to any team and coach, it will happen to LSU.

False.

Not a chance in hell we gain enough in the human polls over TCU or Boise, if we beat the piss out of everyone left on the schedule it still wont happen.

Im more worried about Arkansas and Ole Miss than this fairy tale...

If Auburn were to lose itd set up the dream matchup for every douchebag with a microphone, Oregon vs TCU/Boise

If Auburn lost to Bama they would fall behind LSU in the polls, but if they won the SECCG they would spring back in front of us in the polls and in SOS with the 13 games against another ranked SEC opponent. Now if they lost in the SECCG watch out.

we could also be left out of the bcs all together sitting at the number 5 spot. if we are at the 4 spot then the bcs would have to take us over Auburn

I agree.

Maybe, maybe Boise St but I doubt it. TCU, no way we jump them and I'm not sure we deserve to.

ok....

so Oregon and Auburn both lose?

Oregon has 0 teams on their schedule with anything resembling a legitimate defense outside of Arizona; who wont score enough.

LSU’s National Championship Game scenario is unique in that the Tigers could conceivably finish in the top 2 of the final BCS standings, with not only failing to win their conference title, but without winning their division, too.

Pretty much.

Neither of their schedules qualify as "cakewalks"

See Nebraska 2001, which tied for the division but wasn't the representative in the champsionship game.

Im all for the optimism but Auburn still gets in with a loss to Bama if they win the SECCG.

Cant have Auburn not ahead of LSU if they both have a loss, for obvious reasons.

A one loss nebrask will jump LSU by winning the big 12 title game.

Its a nice fantasy, but no unless Boise, TCU, AU, and Oregon all lose (AU more than once) no way we make it to the title game.

At this point, I think we should all be thrilled with a BCS at large bid and the possibility of putting one of the BCS busters in their proper place.

Yeah, after that powerhouse schedule in the Mountain West it would be a travesty to put in a one-loss SEC team who has beaten more ranked teams than anyone else in the country. Say BCS national champion TCU to yourself 10 times in a row and see if you don't agree with me.

True...but they play @ Cal and they're always tough at home. Their last game is at Oregon St. and that place will be rockin' to knock them off.

Utah just had a program altering loss. They won't get within sniffing distance of anything worthwhile.
