Les Miles keeps his job tomorrow by winning.

Les Miles silences the critics (including me) for a while by a) winning plus b) doing it in a fashion that shows he actually had something to do with the win, besides on paper being listed as coach and standing on the sidelines merely gesticulating during the game.

As a long time Tiger fan and alum, I want to see something different tomorrow -- not asking for much -- but something that has a ring of quality to it.

I am sick 'n tired of this inch-fricking-worm approach to football we've had to endure the last two seasons.

Lesticles where are you?

I agree that this is a big game for him after going 500 the last 2 years in the SEC, that and he still is in Saban's shadow after 6 years.

if you want to see a disinterested coach that obviously doesn't want to coach anymore I would look at gainsville before baton rouge.

I agree. Meyer looks like he is in purgatory.

Most likely, win or lose, the same guys that support him will hold steadfast, and they ones who religiously hate on him will do so as well.

Miles cannot win with some and he cannot lose with others. For those of us in the middle, however, this game would go a long way, you are right.

58-16 defines Les Miles.

even if we won out that wouldn't happen.

this is what I actually meant to say.

A large portion of the LSU Nation wants to see the following from Les Miles:

A Quality Win

Why?

Because a large portion (including myself) assume that his win vs. loss record is largely despite him, and rather due to the quality of the program at the time he inherited it and the momentum the program had in the years following his predecessor's departure.

Until Les Miles demonstrates convincingly that he is reponsible for a win, the paranas will continue to nip at his feet.

You'd have alot more nickels for the times he did.

If LSU wins, there will still be a significant number of fans who still want him out.

If LSU loses, Miles will still probably keep his job, if the regular season ends with a nine or ten win season.

This is certainly a defining moment, but I don't think it is the defining moment.

Just because we won the game doesn't mean it was a direct result of anything Miles did.

So the fake fg against UF didn't show you something different? How about the halfback pass against AU? Seems like he is doing everything he can to try to win. He knows he can't with with with solid qb play, so he tries to do it other ways.
