Mett lied to Richt about the incident, and was repeatedly told to stay away from the area he was arrested in, but of course failed to do so

I live in the town where the whole incident happened. From what I have heard, there is more to the story than what is usually mentioned.

What Mett did was stupid and he deserves all the blame he has received. But his conduct did not get him booted out. Him lying about that to Mark Richt did. His mom works for Richt. So Richt had no room to show him any leniency, as that could have been misinterpreted.
