For fans that have been to the games.

I don't usually complain but this troubles me.
In the Auburn game when we ran the halfback pass, it looked like there was a DB running with Randle on that play. RR did have a little seperation but not a lot. I think our WRs are more than capable of out-competing most dbs for the football.
Since I have not been to a game it's kind of hard to see by watching on TV if we run our receivers deep and if they ever appear to get seperation. I think if we could have some success like we did with the gimmick play against Auburn, why not have our QB just throw it deep. Randle would win most of those one-on-one battles IMO.
So my question for the fans in the stands.....Do you see our receivers running any deep routes and if so does there appear to be man to man defense? And also, do they get any seperation from the dbs?

JJ can't throw a deep route to an LSU WR!

The cornerbacks for SEC teams aren't exactly slow. You can't just expect WR's to be wide open every play. Also, that ball was seriously underthrown, it doesn't matter how much separation RR had, he had to adjust and come back to the ball, as he should for every throw he's able to adjust to.

You're asking for a blanket answer for a myriad of situations. I've been to every home game save for McNeese, and the WR's get their separation when it's man to man coverage.....but most of the plays aren't designed for the deep routes.

been to 3 games this year and yes, we are running out wide on multiple plays, and RR, TT and sometimes even shep get very good seperation from the DBS. The problem is while that is happening, Jefferson (and in some cases Lee) is waiting too long and eventually crumbling under pressure to get it to them.
Lee has def hit some good ones this year and JJ (even after holding on FOREVER) in the UNC game hit RR on a bomb.

We usually have WRs running free all over the filed. Come to think of it, DeAngelo Peterson is usually wide the frick open anytime he runs a route. Randle likewise.

Watching replays, you will see LSU receivers open quite a bit. Part of the frustration.

JJ and J. Lee need to watch how fast the Mizzou QB releases the ball. I agree with some of the others on here. The WR and TEs are getting open. But our QBs just aren't throwing accurately, on time, on target. It's fixable and they have 2 weeks to work on it.
Unfortunately, so does 'Bama. This is their bye week, too.

Thats why we are all so frustrated. I was screaming this at the top of my lungs for the FLorida game last year. JUST THROW THE DAMNED BALL!!

The recievers usually get great seperation.
Catching the ball, well that's a different matter all together.

watch film. We do...but it's almost like it's for clearing purposes only.
We just don't have a QB that knows where everyone is supposed to be at on the field at one time. It's obvious.
