It's out on Netflix instant.

Most of you probably remember Jesco White that had a documentary done about him called "The Dancing Outlaw."

In this one they followed the entire White family for a year and recorded it. It should be gold.

Man, this is unreal. I'm honestly not sure if I should laugh or be sad about this. It's pretty much a given that if you are born into this family you will be addicted to drugs and probably in jail for murder by the time you are in your late teens.

It's pretty awesome, IMO. Unfortunately, I didn't see Dancing Outlaw first.

I watched this the other night and it's still stuck in my head. It was great documentary. I've spent my fair share of time in East Tennessee, and these people make hillbillies look like Rhodes Scholars. I highly recommend this to everyone.

holy shite, thank you sooo much for posting this.

I watched that short doc on Jesco and he still hasn't escaped my memory. He's a stranger-than-fiction guy. I can't wait to see this movie. Thanks again.

Is this a documentary on a real family or a faux family? They seem to F'd up to be real.

It's a legit documentary. Halfway through I was thinking it couldn't be real, but it is. If anyone thinks they have a fricked up family, watch this film and you'll realize you're more than normal.

Classic.

Oh yeah, forgot to come back and say that I saw this movie. It was much more depressing than I had anticipated. If you've ever seen the PBS documentary, you might remember that the tone was for the most part pretty lively and funny, because it was just Jesco shooting off at the mouth or dancing.

This one had a lot of family drama. It just seemed like an extended, more humorous episode of Intervention or something.

Still, very worthwhile watch, imo.

All I could think about was these poor kids. And These people scare the hell out of me. No telling what they will do. When they say they are going to kill a mother f'er, I wouldnt put it past them. Its not just red neck talk.

thank God that the one child was taken into child services. I didnt see the end so I dont know if she ever got her kid back.

THey were so matter of fact about why too "Honey, they probably just found those drugs in his system and took him away."

Also, the 88th bday party for their mother, they really went all out to make sure that she had a great birthday

Boone County mating call, shaking the pill bottle

honestly that whole area is depressing one of my fraternity brothers was from there and we could barley understand his arse and we just called him Boone. Not many people born there leave or even go to college

Just watched it. Fantastic. The whole 5 minute sequence of the woman finding out the daughter was taken by CPS and going to Taco Bell was one of the greatest sequences in film history. The last scene summed up the whole movie perfectly, a little 5ish year old girl just running up to a little play tunnel and yelling "frick you" while kids slightly older run around smoking cigarettes, you can't help but laugh and feel bad at the same time.
