Dan, with all due respect, we didn't "Stack the box" and gave up over 400 yards rushing...we will never know if stacking the box would have yielded a different/worse result.

This really doesn't have to do with LSU. It has to do with offensive philosophies in general.

The way Auburn lines up doesn't allow anyone to stack the box. It just doesn't.

Again, I'll take evidence. If someone wants to show me a defense that "stacked the box" against a 4 WR, 5 OL, single back set, I'll eat crow.

all i know is the safe, deep/soft zone, contain DL has never worked against a good spread option team as far as i know

and i've watched a ton of teams run spread option offenses

What I noticed in the game was that the D pretty much sat in position until the snap of the ball. What happened to the different looks the D gave to the other teams we played? Moving the LB's and safeties up to the line until right before the ball is snapped maybe would have him read wrong and mess up.
