Everyone is doing a great job and I am looking at each suggestion....right now the GF is leaning towards Laffayette....the ghost and the Acadian Village(for the Christmas lights)....but keep the suggestion comming....we are far from decided....by the way I like the Fairhope suggestion and the St. Francisville suggestions but the GF is really against me playing golf on her birthday....women

Is the course in St. F even reopened? I can't recall.

There are lots of options out there for places to stay. The problem is that the food offerings in many of those places are limited.

Too bad. I was going to recommend this place my cousin manages in the Texas Hill Country. The Falls Resort
What about looking around in Fredericksburg or Gruene? The Christmas lights are gorgeous in those little towns and food and other touristy stuff is exceptional.
