(1)The quarterbacks are not prepared to see the whole field (defenses, open receivers, etc.).
(2) The quarterbacks are not throwing accurately---especially down field.
(2) The receivers are not adequately taught to read defenses and run appropriate routs.
(3) The offensive line doesn't do a good job of pass protection.

I used to say this all the time... but saturday's play calling fricking sucked.

out of 15 completions 14 were less than 8 yards.

I agree to an extent but will add..

4) Offensive and defensive schemes sucked.
5) Whole team was unprepared for Auburn
6) Auburn outcoached LSU by a large margin.

He's not saying it's not coaching, as all of these things are clearly related to bad coaching. he's just saying it's not the actual play called during the game. Which i somewhat agree with. We are fundamentally pathetic and that's all there is to it. Coaching

Correct. This is like the 2008 defense. Most fans simply chalked that up to "We don't blitz enough!" when we actually blitzed a lot. We just weren't prepared or taught well and everyone was always out of position. We now have the same problem on offense. It doesn't matter what plays are called because we can't execute anything.

This is exactly what I am saying---coaching of fundamentals to players (lack of) is responsible for all of the deficiencies that I noted.

Even someone on crack should be able to see that if the play is not executed properly, we will never know if the call was the appropriate one.

THIS. And I can't stand Gary Crowton....but it's not like he's calling the plays without any input from anybody whatsoever.

The play calling is not great. That's for sure. There's no imagination and i lost count on how many read options we ran and I'm pretty sure Jefferson kept the ball on every one of them. That said, if our players execute basic football functions we would beat everybody.

We don't block downfield AT ALL. This makes me more mad than anything.

QB's throw off back foot

Receivers don't come back to the ball

Defenders don't wrap up

WR's running lazy routs

Bad angles on defense

Auburns team did ALL of these things very well. nough said

It IS the playcalling, at least that's a large part of it.

Vs the worst pass defense in the SEC, we only threw deep 4 times.
One was almost intercepted, one was, one TT dropped, and one was by an RB.

When Lee is running the read option, it's bad play calling. I am not talking about the last play either.

Those may all be true but the play calling absolutely sux yak nutz.

Our offense is MIA. Soon they post pictures of our offense on milk cartons.

We make Sylvester Croom and Gerry Dinardo looks like offensive masterminds.

Most of the stuff you said was correct except for this. For example, Toliver's big drop he had before halftime was on a play where he broke his route and came back to Jefferson as he was running out of the pocket. Our receivers are usually pretty good at coming back to the QB if the play breaks down.
