I cook them in the oven first then the last couple of minutes throw them on the grill

smoke them bastards, slow, charcoal, put some beer in the water pan. Oh, forgot to tell ya, I usually marinade the shite out of them, but the last time I just smothered them in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and they were the best ribs yet. Just put the stuff on when I put them on the grill. Go figure.

I do a dry rub marinade with a mixture of brown sugar, salt, pepper, and chili powder, then I cook they for a couple of hours on the grill, indirect heat.

I got this shite covered...
I forget where I first learned it, but a few years after I started doing it, I saw Emiril do it on GMA:
Make sort of a "boat" out of aluminum foil, place the baby backs in there, pour enough coke (or sprite, root beer, etc.)to cover as best you can.
Close up the foil, or use another piece to make an enclosed pouch.
Place in 325 oven for a couple of hours. Pull 'em out, and let them cool enough so that you can drain them and put a good rub on them.
Move to the pit, and go another hour at low heat. Mop them and sauce them to your preference.
Done. Boom.
