Of course, the league could avoid this entire conversation/criticism all-together if they hired a third party outside of the Southeast to organize/hire officials. Seems like a pretty simple solution to me.

This is what I don't understand. With as much money the SEC is bringing in with bowl game money, tv contracts and all other revenue, why is there still a problem? The SEC should hire a company that could properly train, review calls made by officials, and continually rate each officials performance. The SEC then could hire officials from this company to officiate all SEC games. Since there is so much money involved in college football you would think that something would have already been done about this.

Go to the SEC baseball tournament in Hoover. Look up at the SEC box, watch all the men in red SEC jackets screaming & yelling for Bama. A fact. Take a poll of all the SEC schools' alumni associations in Birmingham & ask them if the SEC offices should be relocated. The working staff in the SEC offices are primarily Bama fans/alums at bare minimum. As it would be if it was located in B.Rouge or Lexington, the staff would reflect the make up of the local town folks. Then mix in the number of years that it's been based there & you get a staff heavily made up of Bama fans/alums.But watch the SEC box at the baseball tourney & that says it all.

They want to make sure a SEC team gets as far as they can into the BCS for the money. SO if its Bama that needs a call to keep going, like last year, then Bama gets the call.
