With 1:00 left. Personally, I think they all would have been fine.

1. Kick the Field Goal
2. Fake the Field Goal
3. Run up the middle with Ridley or QB sneak
4. Play-action by JEFFERSON to Tolliver streaking down the field ala Ohio State 2002 (would have been a great call imo that would have received tons of criticism if failed).

Actually, any of these would have been highly criticized if failed.

I like: 2,4,1,3

I dont think this would have worked out because near the end of the game they had this play figured out.

Depends on the situation. In the Flordia situation the fake was the best choice, since we already know it worked. However, the conservative thing would let your all-american kicked do his thing.

Really? Here is the crazy hypothetical:

At Florida in the swamp down 29-26 on the 35 yard line.

I basically meant what do you think would have been the best call 2 when that situation came up

if i had been vilified and humiliated by my fans and every form of media available repeatedly all week long, i think i would have kicked the field goal. and i would characterize myself as a winner. or at least i did before the outcome of miles decision. i salute his guts. or crazinest or his competitive spirit or his ability to do the right thing, or whatever. it was simply brilliant and one of the reasons college football can be so much fun. no matter what one thinks about les miles, you have to admit he can sure pull a rabbit out of a hat.

I would have gone for it and not even line up for a field goal. Kicking a 53 yard field goal from the left hash is extremely difficult.

I thought the best option was the fake fg. It was so on the money, because Les knew that Urban figured if he wanted to go for it, he would just line up for an offensive play. So he went all out block. He read Meyer like an Archie comic (books have big words )

Other than that, I think the play they ran on the next play that went for 28 yards is a high percentage play in general. With Lee behind center, I think we pull that one off too.

I wouldn't have kicked it or faked it.

At 3rd and 1 - I would have considered it 2 down territory.

3rd would have been play-action - deep to RR or TT - hoping for big play. We would have scored so the rest is moot.

It was 4th & 3 .....so its either 1,2,or line up in the spread and try to sling it for a first down

4th and 3, and after a timeout when coming out in FG formation, 53 yarder:

2 - They were set up to all out block. Play that supposedly was practiced a lot. Didn't get run to perfection, but it was there enough to allow a bounce and still work.

1 - Jasper can make that kick. It's not 100% obviously, but I wasn't thinking "frick he has no chance" when they lined up.

3 and 4 are void. I wouldn't run up the middle for 3 yards, and I wouldn't trust Jefferson to place a deep ball accurately. If you're going with an okie-doke play like that: Lee taking it off a QB read handoff to Shep or Ridley. They bit hard into the RB every single time Lee was on the field.

But I'd just rather Lee out there throwing any play that goes 4 yards BEFORE cutting inside for the routes. No 2 yard routes on 4th and 3 damn it!
