Said unless miles loses out, he will be back but crowton will be gone. Les has two years left on his contract and taf would owe him $7.5 million. Said taf has a $300 million debt and that they will not buy out the contract. Also said with the education cuts, they couldnt justify the buyout.

I guess they are going to raise your seat tickets again.

Yes, it is. TAF has a lot of projects in the Athletic Complex, that LSU probably would not otherwise have if not for them.

I would settle for ditching Crowton.

If TAF can't afford to buy out the clown now, then how would they afford to but him out if he loses the rest of the games??
What does that have to do with anything?
What did they spend 300m, that's stopping them from buying this clown out for 7. That's ridiculous!

New windows on TS?? Totally worth it !! Lose 5 games but at least we can see our reflection of tears as we walk out of TS.

I lot of people don't know that they would have time to miles his buyout. Since they would owe him 7.6 mil they could pay him the 3.8 a year or work out an agreement of something like pay it over 6 years. The school budget cuts have nothing to do with the athletic program. Blame the state for the cutbacks on higher education. The 300 million they taf owes is only a problem if they stop filling that stadium every home game, and with miles that may happen pretty soon.

The problem may not be getting him out so much, but getting a coach (of quality) in!!!!

This is a surprise???
LSU is crying buckets over cuts, but we gonna throw millions out the window buying out a winning football coach??
No way in hell that happens.

would we have enough money to hire a top notch coach? or would we have to settle for another Les Miles?

The athletic department and the university are two separate entities. The athletic department donates to he university, but they do not run on the same account. If the athletic department can raise the money via taf, raising ticket prices, etc, they can fire mile if they see fit.
