For tonight. Taking my mom for her birthday to HOB to see Radney Foster tonight. Going with her, my aunt, and fiance. Need good recommendation for someplace that won't break my wallet. We were thinking maybe the Hearsay Gastro Pub downtown, heard it is supposed to be pretty good.

What kind of food does momma like/dislike?

She said she would like some Italian or something light like seafood.

Been to Crapitto's yet? Pretty good food and weather is perfect to sit on the patio.

Damian's on Smith or for a less expensive Italian - Vincent's on Dallas is pretty good.

Thanks offshore...this is what we did, great food, good wine, and patio was nice. I'm not sure what business is across the street but there were about 3 OT 10's that walked across to come over for dinner. I was having a hard time not staring.

Is this REALLY the name of a restaurant? What were they thinking?

We did...my fiance wasn't able to go, and was ticked that she didn't get to go...she has been wanting to.
The show was awesome! Opener was George Ducas..never heard of him, but man he was good. Radney Foster put on a hell of a show...been a big fan for awhile, but first time seeing him.

Did he play Texas in 1880?

Nino's on W. Dallas is very good, and close to downtown. For something a little less expensive but good, Spaghetti Westerns on Shepherd/Durham (I never remember which one goes east or west). On the west side, Collina's is pretty good. Between Campbell and Voss on I-10. Further west, Ciro's between Bunker Hill and Gessner on the S. Side of I-10.
ETA: Ooops...day late and a dollar short.
