That is what Simms said after the game.
They only won the turnover and penalty battle---the rest was in LSU's favor by a long shot.

LSU killed just about everyone of it's own offensive drives it had in that game. TN really didn't do much on defense.

All that money and the kid never got a good enough education to figure out he just lost.

Minus the drive-killing penalties and turnovers, LSU rolls bigtime.

Sounds like a certain wannabe QB on our team.

He didn't say "phase". He said "fays".

they only won the turnover margin and penalties. They beat us in coaching though, minus the last play. Had we not snapped the ball, time would've run out.. AGAIN.

Wrong. 4 turnovers made it close. Miles had nothing to do with that.

I hate to say this, but overall, their punt and kickoff teams did substantially better than ours...

Remember Leinart's quote after getting beat by Texas in the BCSNCG? "We were the better team." Pretty much opened a window into his impossibly out of control ego. With Phil Simms for a father, and Chris Simms for a brother, is there any doubt this kid is seriously out of touch with reality?

But our Field Goal kicker was better.

Get the frick out of here.

1) Holding on to two timeouts at the end of the first half when Tennessee is deep in their territory and your offense hasn't moved the ball despite having the #1 punt returner in all of college football who has already scored twice.

2) Calling two of your three time outs in the second half because you can't get a play in on time. Then calling your last one after a delay of game.

3) Hustle penalties are one thing. Constant false starts are another and are the responsibility of the coaches.

4) Calling a fade on 1st and goal from the 9 with a QB who has a tendency to underthrow the ball (and has already severely underthrown a ball to the endzone that should have been intercepted) while your running back is averaging over 5 yards a carry.

5) Constantly playing a fullback that cannot make a block to save his life when you have athletes that can be used as a weapon at that position.

Dooley outcoached Miles in almost ever facet of the game. Other than the last play, Dooley did a great job for the second year in a row. I would take him in a heartbeat over Miles.

And this makes LSU look even worse. Think about it.
