Your coaches NEVER let him get into a rhythm. He makes your offense much more of a threat due to the fact that he can actually stretch the field and hit receivers in stride. If the coaches just said, Lee you're the guy and we're behind you 100% I bet his confidence level would skyrocket. Seriously, how difficult can the coaches make it for him? Yesterday they stick him in on a 3rd and 12, what is that? Sure he's going to throw his INT's, but he'll also complete more passes downfield and the more experience he gets the less mistakes he's going to make. They shouldn't put it all on Lee though, why not implement a package with Shepard at QB? Most of Lee's troubles take play in the redzone, so why not just put Shepard in the wildcat from time to time, God forbid let him even throw a few passes and see what happens.

This offense could be pretty good with Lee and RS taking all the snaps at QB

Give RS no more than 5 snaps a game

Although as I said earlier I think that the wildcat makes more sense with Ridley as the QB and RS as the motion guy. Ridley could do well between the tackles with RS in motion. And if they read it right RS could make some plays on the outside.

Probably is Germans, but how stubborn and dumb can your offense coaches be? When LSU runs that short side option I even cringe a little on the inside.

Take whatever makes the most sense

And do the opposite

That's the miles way

Jefferson will start against Florida, and when lsu is down 10 points in the 4th, les will send lee in on 3rd and 17 and tell him to go win it for miles.

Jefferson has a slower throwing motion than Tebow. His attitude is a problem also, he just doesn't seem like much of a team player. IMO his ego is way above his actual skill level.

Good take and I think you find that most agree with you assessment.

I have felt that JL should be the QB since the spring game..JJ looked awful and I mean awful throwing the football..

After game 2, I was done with JJ...

If LSU is going to do anything this year at all, JL has to play and if he get his confidence, LSU could be a team that could go places this year. I truly believe it

But right now, I bet Bama is licking their chops

the Tide look like a well oiled machine...Richardson is just a beast running over LB;s...gezzz

JJ is an outstanding athlete. He is not a QB. It would be best for the coaches to move him to the TE position. And let JL and RS takes the snaps

Lee is so much more of a team leader than JJ. Lee leads his team on a 2 minute drive while losing, and when he gets to the goal line, what does Les do? He puts in JJ to finish the drive. Instead of sulking because he won't get the glory, Lee tries to pump JJ up to go out there and win for the team. Such a classy move from a good leader.

LSU's bread and butter should be Ridley. There should be about a 55/45 run/pass ratio IMO. Use Shepard on bubble screens and reverses and let Randle and Toliver stretch the field because they're great verticle threats. Deangelo Peterson is a great receving TE, get him involved as well. It's really not that difficult.

I'd pay money to get in on an LSU offensive meeting with the coaches. God I'd love to know what's being said.

That would lead to Shepard throwing a pass which is just not going to happen under Miles watch.

(his broken watch that is)
