Can anybody explain all the love that Peterson is getting on a national level and at the same time explain why Prentiss Waggner isn't getting any at all?

Peterson has two interceptions. Waggner also has two.

Peterson has returned those interceptions for 46 yards. Waggner has returned his for 63 yards (that's good for second in the SEC)

Peterson has 0 TD off of interceptions. Waggner has two.

Waggner has 4 PBU, 23 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. Peterson has 2 PBU, 11 tackles and a blocked kick

How many punt return TDs and yards does Waggner have?

No one throws to PP's side anymore. Peterson has taken 2 returns to the house. He is the most dynamic player in college football right now. So run and tell that.

I'm guessing that Peterson has put up his stats with maybe 1/3 the number of opportunities. Easier to get higher stats when opposing isn't afraid to throw to the guys you are covering.

Also Peterson shutdown two of the nation's top receivers last year in Julio Jones and AJ Green. Go play in a street.

Peterson's returns help, and the fact that people rarely try his side, and what he has done in the past

He should have more than that after 97 plays against UAB.

Let's start with 244 return yards in the first game against UNC...in ONE half.

And less tackles means the WR he was covering has caught less passes.

BigOJArmy...

First, PP shuts down one side of the field. Waggner does not. Coaches know better to challenge that side of the field. Theres just a higher likelyhood of a busted play, PBU, INT, at worse a Pick 6.

Second, PP is a Return Terror

Third, PP does the WINDMILL, Waggner cant touch that.

You're right - Peterson sucks. Your boy is better. Tell your QB to throw towards #7 all day. Tell your K to kick to him.

Let's Rock.
