Do you think fans in 1958 were enjoying Billy Cannon, or do you think they spent every waking minute whining about the offense:

vs. Rice 26-6
vs. Alabama 13-3
vs. Hardin-Simmons 20-6
vs. Kentucky 10-7
vs. Florida 10-7
vs Ole Miss 7-3
vs. Mississippi State W 7-6
vs. Clemson W 7-0

You were a little off earlier with the history but you totally redeemed yourself with that one.

Too bad, because that was a great thing for PP to do.

Why? Why was it a "great" thing for him to do? He cost his team field position by putting himself first. I don't think that is "great".

Or under guard - if there was any doubt that, even if only briefly, Tiger Stadium can invoke that better era and throw a QB off so badly, he reaches under the wrong behind for the ball.

Wow! I don't think so. Situations weren't even remotely similar. Was a great return though.

Cannon's return is considered one of the greatest plays in CFB history. Not taking way anything from PP but come on. Eddie Kinnison's 100 yd return against Moo state was more impressive

not even close, but if he does this will be remembered as what put him in the race for it...but he wont win it unless he has a "heisman moment" and that wasnt it. so if he does win, this pose is not going to be what will really be remembered.

Also i loved the pose. 15 yards is nothing for one of our guys to win the heisman

Tell PP to do that on an INT return for a TD to beat Bama with Ingram, Jones, and Saban chasing him and then MAYBE it will be as huge as Cannon's.
