Does anyone know of any reputable gunsmiths that are familiar with working on AR-15s sround the SWLA area? I live in Sulphur, bought the gun at Barney's in Lake Charles and they guy working there couldn't recommend anyone he knew of that was any good.

What kind of work do you need done?

Pretty simple stuff, putting in a new trigger/hammer, removing the A2 sights and putting a low profile gas block on, swapping the stock suppressor, new trigger guard and a free-float handguard. I could do it if i had the tools, but to get the stuff to properly do it I figured it would just be cheaper to have a gunsmith do it all at once, i just dont wanna buy tools i will likely use one time.

Gator Guns said they refer their work to David's Gun Shop, haven't ever heard anything about him though, but Im gonna call him up when I get back into town. Have you ever worked with hunter's supply before? That was actually one place I was told to try to stay away from. Only time Ive personally ever been was to drop off my old boss' handgun to get cleaned.

any time I've had a gun worked on, its been at Hunters Supply. They've done well for me.
