I understand that people burn out. People burn out on diet as well. People have to figure out works best for themselves. Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought you were arguing that exercise doesn't aid in weight loss which is an absurd argument.

I said it can cause gains which can lead to people quitting.

As I said, if people can stick to it, then it works but most people cant. And I also said most will burn out and quit no matter which path they take.

I think what you're misinterpreting is that he said putting on muscle can stop the scale itself from going down. In that sense, it can cause stalls and slow 'weight loss'. It will, however expedite fat loss, which is the goal in the end anyway.
