I was up 2 lbs from yesterday! WTF?! Maybe what you said is what happened to me. This is confusing to me. I'll still keep doing what I've been doing though and hopefully it'll track back down.

Sometimes it seems like there is a lag in when I cheat and gorge and when the scale moves. Or when I've been running and dieting the other way. I can't really explain it. Chances are, I'll be back down tomorrow morning.

You need to remember sodium and water gain. If something you eat is loaded with sodium, even if low cal, you can end up gaining weight.

I am about to go mental as I am now on day freaking 5 of my plateau and I haven't had more than 1,200 calories or 1500mgs of sodium in over a week.

ding ding ding

correct. do not expect to lose a pound every time you work out for 2 hours. it doesn't work that way.

i've had weeks where i've ridden 35+ miles per day 5 days straight and don't see a single pound drop (I don't weigh after the ride because I'm usually down 1-3lbs of water weight) and then I'll go for several days without *ANY* exercise and drop a pound every day.

In short, the body is a mysterious thing about how it manages your weight. The one constant is that exercise ***IS*** good for you and as long as you're not getting discouraged and pigging out, that exercise you did 2 weeks ago *WILL* pay off. Just not always right when you expect it.

Remember more muscle = more engines running = more fat burning = less fat ultimately. WAKE THOSE ENGINES UP!! PUT THEM TO WORK!
