Well, he needs to catch the ball better if he wants more touches. On the other hand, no excuse for not going to Randle more.

It's hard to give everybody a lot of touches when your offense frequently stalls out.

To put it simply.. against a 3-3-5 defense we weren't going to see Shepard that often. That type of defense is built to stop guys like him.

I would have liked him to get a few more snaps from RB though.

He averaged 2 yards per touch with the 3 chances he had. And he can't block anyone.

He'll get his chances against other teams, but he's still gotta improve to significantly help this offense on a regular basis.

This. But I am sure they have a want to get Russel and Randle both more touches.

That type of defense was built primarily to neutralize the passing game. Shepard has been most dangerous on the end around runs. It was run once last night for 9 yards. We should have seen much more of him getting the ball.

shepard should be getting the ball from the shotgun and picking his hole like flordia did with burton yesterday, that is if he can read the defense

this is why i hate that god damn option. JJ averages 2.1 yards a carry, its a wasted play, when we could be getting it to Shep, Ridley, Rueben - ANYONE but JJ.
