I think the chant will slowly die out. frick, we did it before the game even started just because we could.

Its not the band directors that chose to take out oweo, it was the athletic department. Yes some of the student section still said it, but it didnt bring as much attention and therefore probably no fine since the band didn't play.
And besides, the student section just as happily jumped into Neck after the touchdown rather than oweo.
