that was the craziest thing i've ever seen....
Is he so inept at the offense that he couldn't run the victory formation? Wow, just Wow.... these guys are really just grabbing at straws right now.

At this point we dont know. His first pass last night was for a first down and called back on a penalty. His second pass was complete short of the sticks.

That is all we know about last night.

He was only put in so that Miles, Crowton, and Gonzales could have a convo with JJ.

He threw two completions and it caused complete confusion on the sidelines.

Because jl was not a ground threat and without the qb to concern themselves ridley was stuffed.

And jj didn't have some good passes called back. Neither qb will suceed until our ol n wr core get it together.

He put JJ back in because he started and since the victory was secure, it was his to finish. Also, maybe miles supports his players 100% and letting JJ sulk on the sidelines isn't what needs to happen.

It's a team sport, not individual.

So Miles can say he gave him a chance.

This thread shows the true idiocy of people that post here.

Why was Jefferson put back into the game for that last series? The answer is very simple. The aim of that final drive was to run the clock out by keeping the ball on the ground. There was no way we were going to pass the ball. Jefferson was much more of a running threat than Lee, and if you are going to run the ball, Jefferson was the person to have in the game at that point. It gave WV one more thing to have to defend in an obvious running situation.

Hard as it is for some of you idiots to fathom, but it was actually a GOOD coaching move to put Jefferson back in the game at that point.

Actually, I didn't have a problem with this so much. Given the timing, JJ was the better option, because it forced the defense to key on the QB as well as Ridley. With JL in there, the defense knew there was absolutely no reason to pass the ball and stop the clock, so they were stuffing 8 men to stop the single back.

The Read-Option play is not effective with JL. If JL is in the game, The Single I, Power I, and empty backfield shotgun are the only formations which should be run.
