Game was over in 3rd quarter when WVU went up 28-0. Terps had one of nation's leading rushing attacks coming into the game and were held to minus 10 yards rushing for the game.

Defense had 8 sacks. New cornerback did give up two late bombs(hogan is suspended for a dui). Hogan is 1st team all BE. after his subs performance yesterday Hogan should be back for the LSU game after running steps until he drops.

Oline looked better. WVU can run and pass. had over 200 yards rushing and passing.

LSU will still be favored by 10 points. And LSU should win. But WVU is dangerous in a way NC was dangerous. Much more of a threat than Vandy or Miss State.

WVU is very solid on d, but seems vulnerable to the big play since the corners are left on islands when the all-out blitz comes.

saw some highlights, looked like your QB had all day to throw a few times. won't happen Saturday.

your coach reminds me of Les Miles. Doesn't really scare me.

WVU coaching = LSU coaching (just talking head coaches)

LSU talent > WVU talent

LSU wins

I have 2 tickets on the 50. Will be wearing gold. So you need to be wearing purple!

WVU has played @Auburn. and the Sugar Bowl was basically @ Georgia. I doubt the crowd is a factor.
WVU has a pretty loud home environment and its players are used to loud drunk fans.

Noise may be a factor with a young qb. It never bothered Pat White. We will have to see about G. Smith.

I watched the WVU game against Marshall and against Maryland. They actually look very similar to the Mississippi State team when Relf was at QB. While WVU has the potential to upset it is very unlikely. Good people out there in WV though. Good luck to you all.

Marshall and Maryland are complete garbage. I watched both of those games vs. ya'll and i watched Maryland versus Navy. Unless LSU comes out flat, it won't be pretty for your team. Your oline was obviously tiring at the end of the first half yesterday...it's going to be fun. Ya'll are used to using your skill player's superior speed to make plays, but most of our secondary is just as fast. I think ya'll strike for some big plays and a few scores but not enough to win.

WVU does have a rep for having a tough home environment to play in but I would bet that LSU fans are more drunk and more obnoxious and there are WAY more of them. It should be a good time regardless!!!

was the crowd a factor when you played la Tech last year? Maybe it was i dunno.

Crowd noise is a factor if the opposing team allows it to be. Crowd does not block or tackle.

That said, I do agree LSU has superior talent and the coaching is even. Heat will be a factor as well. It is already turning cool in WV.

I think the heat and humidity will be more of a factor than the noise. especially since depth on the lines favors LSU.

i think the a$$whippers we have on D will be a factor

thus far west vag hasnt played anything close to a defense...

whats that little $hit devine going to do when he gets stroked like relf did, or when geno smith sees kelvin sheppard and nevis coming at him? better not throw the ball up for grabs

The trendy thing is to equate Miles to a chimpanzee - but WTF is with equating a coach who has won BCS titles and SEC titles to Bill Stewart!!!

you can't be serious....ask Va Tech...maybe they can share some light on that subject....

yeah...WV has a rep of a rowdy crowd, but it's mostly about your fans burning couches in the middle of the street.....

the crowd was not a factor when WVU played Auburn and Georgia. And if WVU still had P White under center I could guarantee you even the Superdome Noise would not bother him.

Since we have a 1st year starter at qb, the crowd MAY be a factor. we shall see. I am more worried about the heat and LSU's players than the crowd.

if the game was @ Bama would you be more worried about the crowd or bama's players and coach?

Unless you have been living under a rock, this isnt the barn nor a 60k seat dome filled with corporate sponsors.... this is Death Valley at night, and the WVU players will not be able to hear themselves think.

And what, pray tell, does Pat White have to do with anything? Does he still have a year of eligibility left that I'm unaware of?

First off....BDS is no Tiger Stadium....don't kid yourself....and neither is Jordan - Hare...as far as crowd noise...PERIOD!

If you're comparing UGA, Bama or Auburn to LSU fans as far as crowd noise, then you dont know what the hell your talking about.

End of story....believe what you want, its a free country...

I think this will be a close game, decided by less than a TD. WVU is the best team we've played so far, and with our offense as it is so far, I can't say we're gonna score 30+ points in this game. Should be a helluva game; I'm taking the Tigers at 20-17 or so.
