I don't think JJ is the answer but if they are going to play him they have to let him rip and quit coddling him. Its bullshite and not going to help him get better.

I have faced the fact that this won't happen. Herm Edwards who was doing the color commentary for the game on ESPNU gave a great point that only sums up what I have known about Miles for years. Herm said that when he was at LSU earlier in the week talking with Les about the team and what their identity is as an offensive football team what Les said "we are going to be a ground and pound it team that wants to run the football and be physical". Well that's all you need right there.

Here are the facts:

#1 Les Miles is controlling the play calling and the selection of plays that the team is going to use, NOT Gary Crowton.

#2 Gary Crowton is obviously completely happy to be making $600,000 a yr at LSU and happy with being at here and can live with the horse shite that Miles is doing and with the limits he puts on him and the offense.

#3 Les Miles is going to live and die with Big 10 style football. Which is going to put all the pressure on the Defense to win games and play with a conservative, one armed tied behind your back run, run, run and only pass when you must have to offense. It's as simple as that.

#4 You can forget about Jarrett Lee, Miles thinks Jefferson is a really good running QB which he is NOT and is happy with that.

#5 Les Miles is happy with 97 yards passing a game and 150+ yds rushing.

The above qualities will win you a fair amount of games in the SEC when you have far superior athletes compared to most of the teams you play but when you play teams similar to you like Florida, Alabama, Auburn and sometimes Arkansas you will get beat, get your arse kicked or both. What you have seen the last 2 years on offense from LSU is the identity of a Les Miles coached offensive football team. The above reason's will also be the reason's we will lose games later in the season this year.

I am in agreement with Jason. Except for the reason we don't throw down field. I was at the game last night and on several accassions Randle and Toliver were open but Jefferson just does not have the ability to find them. He is horrible I mean Horrible. We will beat unranked teams but we will lose to those better ranked teams. They will put 8 and 9 men in the box and beat us because we are not capable of passing the ball. We have a great defense but when they stay on the field damn near the whole game it will get ugly.
