Watched this last night. Decent. But it's hard to get passed Tom Cruise as a German with an American accent.
It should have been subtitled.

good point i actually really enjoyed this movie and subtitles would be nice but im sure some people would hate the movie becuase of subtitles, some people just can't stand subtitles and its stupid

The hatred I have for this piece of crap movie would get me banned if I posted what I really want to.
I mean did the casting director and directors conversation go something like this?...
"do you think if we put an eye patch and a uniform on him it will make him seem German?"
"yeah"
The fact that Tom Cruise hasn't even tried to act since Collateral pisses me off.

Umm the real German officer that orchestrated the attack (tom Cruise) had an eyepatch.

Subtitles? Teach Tom Cruise to speak German without an American inflection and then put English subtitles on it?

Tom Cruise looks uncannily like the man he was portraying. If you put their pictures up side by side you would swear that they were related.

Yeah, it bugged me that Tom Cruise didn't even try to blend in with the other accents. It ruined my opinion of the movie.

Imagine that... acting... something Tom Cruise has given up on doing. What if Renee Zellwegger had not practiced and perfected the British commoner speech for when she played Bridget Jones? Doubt it would have succeeded to the extent it did. Considering what Cruise is paid, the producers should have insisted he spend some of his millions learning how to speak with a German accent. Ruined the movie for me.
