Smashburger better than Whataburger

I had my first Smashburger tonight and was definitely impressed. The bun was good enough to eat by itself, and the burger meat melted apart in my mouth.
Whataburger was my previous favorite, but the Smashburger bun and meat are tops. Good thing there is not a smashburger nearby, or I would pack on 20 lbs pretty quickly.

I find this statement hard to believe, and can't wait to locate a Smashburger to see for myself. Thanks for the head's up!

Not really a fair comparison. Whataburger = fast food. It's good fast food, but Smashburger is not fast food.
Whataburger burger and fries = $5-$6
Smashburger burger and fries = $10-$12
BTW, the Smashburger fries with the oil and herbs are close to my favorite fries of all time.

I'm a fan of Smashburger, haven't had wattaburger in about 25 years so can't compare, but I like smashburger better than Five Guys

smashburger was 5.40 after tax for a third pound cheeseburger with a large water (no fries). No drive thru but I got it to go in less than 7 minutes.

Cdawg, my post right before yours says I think it's better than 5 Guys. Basically the same concept, the fries are thinner at Smashburger, but as someone mentioned they have fries with rosemary and something else on them that are excellent.
After you order they give you a number that you place on the table. Someone then brings your food to your table, and you can leave your mess as they clean up after you. A little extra service.

Also, smell the smashburger wrapper after you're done. The aroma is intoxicating. I think I'm falling in love.
