A decision on whether Chargers WR Vincent Jackson will be suspended six or three games is expected today. about 2 hours ago via web

NFL and NFLPA engaged in settlement talks that will reduce Vincent Jackson's suspension from 6 to 5 or 4 games in event he is traded. 44 minutes ago via ÜberTwitter

According John Czarnecki of FOX Sports’ reported the Vikings are poised to offer “a high draft pick” for Jackson.

Czarnecki also thinks the Rams may re-enter talks for Jackson, as they need help at the wide out spot. There’s no progress being made between the Chargers and Jackson, and a trade seems like their best bet to try and get something out of the services of the wide out.

Likewise BilJ. Hoping he heads to Minnesota. I just figure Minnesota has to go ALL-IN per say in this situation. Pat Williams and Brett Favre will maybe be playing their last years. Gotta do whatever they can to help Brett.

Clock is ticking: Chargers have from Friday 4 pm to Wednesday 4 pm to trade Vincent Jackson, with him missing four games. Otherwise, 6 games 26 minutes ago via web

Wonder what it's going to take to get him. Holmes went for a 6th round pick
If the Vikings want him immediately. Well, looks like it may take a 1st or a 2nd round pick to get him IMO.

Given the Choice.......Would you guys rather Santanio Holmes or Vincent Jackson right now?

Holmes' upside is sort of limited by Sanchise......

Jackson, who knows where he will end up, if anywhere.....also could be 6 weeks.

I have Holmes, guess I'll just hope the JETS get the vertical passing straightened out in the next 3 weeks before his return......

Santanio Holmes

looked good in pre-season action, and I believe he's been with the team the entire time...no playbook issue or chemistry issues.

I think he may even still be able to practice with them

With Suspensions you are not allowed to practice or train with the team.

Holmes has not been with the team since the end of his last preseason game.

The Vikes will eventually get Vincent Jackson. They have too. They don't have a choice or alternative.

This is true also bilj. I think going forward with the teams looking for WR help, that Jackson is a better option.

Of course Smith could just say frick Jackson and screw him over and never trade him. This actually wouldn't surprise me at all.
