Thank you, why are some people on here saying if we take away this play and this play then we wouldn't have had a good half. The game is over, every play in that game happened and we came out with a WIN. Thats a good start to where we are trying to get to this season. Stop freakin taking plays away from us, they happened. Thats all... Have a good day.

Take away all of the good plays and you are left with the mediocre and bad ones. If that is all you focus on, then yeah, the sky is falling.

So you think that if there is an existing thread that is remotely similar to an existing thread, no one should have the right to express their thoughts ?

You must be miserable spending time around here.

Perfect rant; if you just don't pay attention to the 52 victories or the national championship you'll see what a horrible coach Les Miles really is!

Got it.

Yeah, because nobody has said anything along the lines of "take away the turnovers and penalties and our offense played great", have they?

Well I'm very optimistic about this year. And you could basicly say those things about every game ever played probably. I see this being a very good year for us. To much negativity on here.

watch VA TECH/ BAMA last year and look at the late hits/15 yard penalties on Mclain! Even the mighty Saban has this problem. All colleges have these!

i was optimistic before the second half. it really bothered me.

i look at it as fans just wanting their team to be as good as possible. negativity is far better than apathy

Soooooo. Take away the best offensive plays, then we were bad on offense? WOW. Amazing deduction. Lets do that with all offenses and see what we come up with? Hint? What is left are the less than great plays if you take away all of the great plays.

if you take out their 97 yard touchdown and 70whatever yard pass thats 2 less scores and we likely score again off that so it changes it back to a major blowout. you can spin it anyway you want.

also if you take out the fumbles and intentional grounding we likely score there to which would also result in a blowout.

the game played out as it did. you cant really discredit one play without realizing you can just as easily discredit any other

edit:
i would also like to add that while i see your point in noting the offense was not very consistent in sustaining drives etc, big plays are part of an offense, and some offenses are built around them. i would hope that we do not have to rely on them, but i sure hope they keep on coming!

Actually I don't think you have to take away the turnovers to see they played great.

You see a result is the sum of the parts. I've never seen a perfectly played game by an offense or a defense.

I think GT beat someone 220 to 0 about 100 years ago, that was probably the perfect game but frankly I don't think it would have been watchable past the 1st QTR.

Don't forget on the one play, JJ checked down recievers til he had TE open (while stepping into the pocket).

Actually it WAS a blowout.

LSU killed them 32-10 but then someone went back and took away one of the great defensive plays where UNC was holding in the end zone for another saftey, and then that play turned out to be a 97 yard bomb and that changed the whole game - except the Tigers still won.

I mean how unlikely was that? A 97 yard bomb?

Let this be a lesson to all you time travellers, you may be able to go back in time and affect particular events, but the outcome will still be the same.

It's called destiny.

...Or maybe it's called Jameson, I get those confused sometimes.

People are going to bitch if we don't have big plays (2009) and apparently they're going to bitch if we have big plays but few sustained drives (UNC). You just need to accept that until around midseason when the offense has gelled enough to be able to accomplish both.
