well they have done fine the last two years.......qb situation was young because of the departure of rp..he screwed us.....so what we still had 9-3 seasons.........wrong again...defense was very much improved last year and the offense was very young on the line and at qb.....and still managed to play good games.....only one game we blew was ole miss at the end.....offense caught up this year i believe but now fense is young....you have to balance both sides with experience and next year they will be pretty good....closer to the 07 team i feel....many lsu starters on defens enever played last yr and they held for almost 3 full quarters unce to 10 pts...now if the fumbles and pentlaies dont cripple the offense, we go up 40 something to 10 and unc quits...
factors.......
...1st game'
...on road
...against a bowl bound team
...and won the game
...young young defense
...improved offense who turned over ball 4 times and had some stupid penalties and still scored 30.....

we will be alright....if you got something to say about that then you jus hating.....

I heard the same bullshite last year. Saving him for Florida, Alabama, etc. They did the same thing, he would do well and not see the field. I am not buying the saving him bullshite, sorry.

to give as less as possible, film for opponents to break down and key on.....against vandy and after vandy lsu should only use bread and butter stuff and not show much as close as they can to get close to florida.....there is a plan trust me

shep was not a rec last yr and he was a freshman leanring the offense........he also happened to be a lot thinner too.....this year as a young sophomore he will see more touches this year......as a junior he will be ready with the rest of a very mature team....you guys have no clue.....lsu should of won this game by 51-10.....in experience changed that....less cant help the fact that his team is young young young.....they been to a bowl every year and will go to one again this year.......next year sec championship i feel like and a possible bcs bowl....

did that help us last year? or the year before?

so without our super-complex-yet-easily-observed-and-dismantled-by-our-opponents offense we are basically inept and incapable of getting a first down with our vanilla-yet-surprisingly-difficult-to-execute-run-run-pass-kick offense?

unc is a very good team

A "very good team" that will be doing well to finish 3rd in their division in the ACC.

next year lsu can be pretty special.......i have faith in that

did you not see the youth out there on defense? did you not see the youth on offense?

These are not evidence the team is good. These are reasons the team isn't.

lsu shouldnt even came close to winning even with the starters out.

Has the program fallen so low that a 2nd-tier ACC team with half its starters out is a team we shouldn't even come close to beating, and barely squeaking out a close win is some amazing accomplishment? If so, then the coaching staff is worse than I thought.

So running him off tackle or around the end like the first half would give opponents more info?

We have bread and butter stuff? What exactly is our "bread and butter" on offense?

this yr they can make a bowl but wont win over 8/9 games and we should be fine with that......get used to it and accept it

No thanks. I had three decades of getting used to LSU being mediocre, and I never accepted it then. I'm not likely to now. I hope nobody at LSU ever will again, but it seems many already do, starting with you.

Look, you be as pleased as punch over a mediocre football program if you want, but you bring your arse on here lecturing me about it and telling me to accept it, you are wasting your time. But then, for someone who revels so in mediocrity, I can't imagine time would be worth much anyway.

And that's the problem with folks like you. 8-8 in the SEC is "fine". With this attitude LSU will never be an elite program. People like you don't want to be elite. You want to be mired in .500 play and crap year after year. I really, really hoped that the 2000s had finally, at long last, stomped out the last of your kind of attitude. Sadly, Les Miles has brought it back in just two years.

I can remember when the saints had a off coach that everyone hated and mora the head coach would not change ... what happened? I can remember when we won the nc game and the coach that won it for us and no it wasnt saban or miles it was polini...he had the defence playing witch made the off play better If you remember where miles played and learned the coaching he does now...its three yards and a cloud of dust

post the number of 10 or more win seasons LSU has total.

which LSU football coach has the most at LSU?

*might want to look at florida, bama, tennesee, georgia, auburn & then look around the naton, although that might be even more painful.
