This is for the negatiger crowd... These are coaches I think could be gotten for LSU.. All are ones I'd love to have at Auburn, but probably couldn't get... Not a flame, open discussion...

- Bob Stoops: I really think he'll be ready to leave Oklahoma soon.. They seem to have lost their luster there, and a change of venue is probably needed. He'd do big things at LSU.

Gary Patterson: Could probably be had from TCU

- Greg Schiano: Turned around a bad Rutgers program. He could do some damage with Louisiana talent.

- Robert Anae: He's done great things at BYU. He knows what it takes to win, you know you'll have a strong offense, plus he played on a NC team in college. I think he'd do great things at the HC position.

- Frank Cignetti: 9 years experience at offensive coordinator/quarterback coach.. Young and passionate with a great offensive mind that loves to run the ball.

What are your thoughts/wants?

MILES - unless we dump 6 of the next 11 games.

Based on our 2nd half performance against some ACC 2nd team players, anything is possible

Tubberville:

Is Tubberville the most innovative guy? No. But I know 3 things:

1) this is his stated dream job

2) he'll have much more talent here than he had at Auburn

3) he is NOT SCARED of that s.o.b. that coaches the team in red. he surely won't have an inferiority complex.

Bring him in, keep Billy Gonzales and lets Fing roll. LSU better get their momentum back before it disappears like a Fl. State or the U..

I think it'd be great for Stoops and Saban to be in the same conference/division.. Talk about a clash

Why for Pete's sake? He is a god in Oklahoma.

Huge difference in competition level of the SEC.

See remarks about competition levels in the SEC.

I don't know enough about him, but I would think tht HC experience in a major conference would be more important.

Stoops would never leave Norman. He can do no wrong there. Now leave that and go to a place with a rabid fan base that will pick apart your every move.

Imagine if LSU had lost to Boise St, the coach would've been fired during the post-game press conference.

There is ONLY one current asst coach who has never been a HC that I would want at LSU as our head coach- that is Will Muschamp. Other than Muschamp, there is NO reason on earth for LSU to have to hire an unproven asst coach. Our program and our facilities are far more deserving than that. I am sure there are coaches out there who just would not want to be in Leslie's chair day in and day out, but there is always a proven HC who would want a bigger challenge than the one he is in- that is who LSU should focus on if a move has to be made.

Good point.. But I think his ego will get the best of him.. The lack of pressure is probably why he hasn't done more.. He's a great coach.

you have to offer Gruden first and make him tell you no.
