Figured I would get a link.

It is a myth that everyone in New Orleans uses tomatoes in their gumbo. I have never seen one of my family members use tomatoes in their gumbo and I have a very large family. I just have never seen anyone I know around New Orleans put tomatoes in their gumbo either.

Now at the restaurants around New Orleans maybe so.
