He was able to step up in the pocket - just unwilling due to poor pass protection.

I'm a Jefferson supporter, but his drop is terrible. There were plenty of sacks that resulted directly from him dropping too far back and the DE being pushed into him.

Of course, this never changed throughout the course of the season which, to me, speaks volumes about our QB coach.

so in your mind, you believe that you and others here are smart enough to see that, but the guys who do this for a living dont?
Your arrogance never ceases to amaze me.

Maybe, just maybe JJ is the one who keeps fricking it up?

I agree, and I'm looking for improvement this season. Like I said, he was starting his first season and still won 9 games. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he will be better this season. I think too that he will be looking to get rid of the ball sooner without fearing the int as much. I think his holding onto the ball too long also contributed to the sacks and his dropping so far back - he was too indecisive. Hopefully he'll be throwing the ball after 3 steps instead of 12.

Is a "passing game coordinator" what normal people call a QB coach? If so, BG may help right there.
