Phillip Ely & James Wilder will both be playing tonight. Not sure who is on Manatee.

Any ideas?

It'd be a lot cooler watching Ely play if, every time they showed him, it said "Verbally Committed to LSU."

They just said a kid named "Blakely" (I think)...#8 RB in the nation.

ETA: Not exactly how you wanna start the game if you're Manatee...

ETA part Deux: Nevermind...both coaches forgot to bring their defenses to the game.

That's how alot of these big time high school
Teams that play on espn are these days...

All their athletes play offense, and I guess the defense is so used to getting torched at practice, that they just continue the trend in the game

So far Ely doesn't look like much of a loss

Wilder wishes he was as good of a running back as Blakely.

Shrugged off Wilder holding onto Blakely's facemask, then turned it up.

I dont see any defense.

I cant get impressed by these guys offensive numbers.

I think the coaches need to have their best guys play both ways.

I would go that far. His WRs look like shite and same with his OL. He's got potential, just threw two pretty nice deep balls.

I guess his deep ball is "accurate" in that it gets there but it hangs up in the air FOREVER.

First ball was perfectly in stride and dropped. Second one the WR maybe had to hesitate a half-second. Those are pretty nice balls for a high school QB. I also really like how much they move him around; not too many HS QBs can throw on the run that well.

Now I'm not saying he's Matt Barkley or anything like that but he's not a scrub.

ya, he looks pretty good to me. biggest knock on him is his height, he has had 3 balls knocked down thus far

Yup definitely noticed that too. He's gonna hafta start understanding throwing lanes.

Idk how anyone can knock on him. He's out there playing with a bum leg and is making great passes. It's not like his Wr's and Oline are helping him out any either

If his height is killing him in high school, it's going to kill him more in college when mostly everyone on the d-line is at least 6'3" and athletic these days
