I think a lot of states are seeing budget cuts but few like Lousiana in terms of higher ed. Lousiana can not cut anything other than higher ed and healthcare. You can take it to the bank that's not the case for most places.

I understand the position that LSU is taking but, it is a shame. I would like my son to attend LSU but, he can go to UCF and get a better education for a lot less.
Ironically, his mother is a UF graduate and their academic standards are so high that getting into UF is unlikely.
Damned shame.
