Sure... barely anyone in the stands... right. You would know a lot about that yourselves. It's a Thursday night game in Ruston during a CRAP football season when everyone expected us to get our asses handed to us. The damn stadium wasn't empty anyway, good God. It wasn't a sellout but it wasn't empty either. We don't need shite-heads like that anyway if they'll support someone else over Tech. He probably had on an LSU hat or big obnoxious yellow shirt at the game anyway, so good riddance.

I know. And my point was that he should have been there because he missed a helluva game.
(not many Top 5 conference opponents outside of the WAC so I don't see how that would help anything).

If nothing changes between now and next season, you will likely be right, but that has not been true up until this point. When Tech joined the WAC it was a good fit with Tulsa, SMU, Rice and UTEP. After they left it was no longer a fit geographically but was still a good situation for money and exposure.
In the last few years, despite our bad record, we have had 2-3 ESPN games each year. On top of that, Boise and Hawaii have brought 3 BCS payoffs to the conference. The SunBelt cannot offer any of this (not that the WAC will either after this season). When you couple this with the last memories people have of playing ULL & ULM, being when we were destroying you guys (even though that was 10 years ago), that is how you get the perception that we are too good for the SunBelt.
