They also play Oregon State.. IMO they will beat both..

I think Boise would go 11-1 if they had Nebraska's schedule..

Boise has the talent to beat anyone in a 1 game scenario.. But I agree they wouldn't be undefeated in the SEC on a 1 year basis.. But if they were to joining a Big 6.. That would allow them to build quality depth

Agreed.

We'll have to wait and see how good that team actually is before we say it's a hard game.

Eh, it's not that easy for them. Who in their right minds really wants to play Boise as an OOC?

Agreed... Boise is getting to the point where they want a home/home.. And top $$$$ if they are going to be forced to do 1 game.. Their stadium size hurts them or either do a 2 for 1...But most Big 6 schools feel its a no win situation in their minds to schedule them

i think it would have a bigger impact if they were to play VT at th end of their schedule instead of the beginning.

Aren't they playing Virginia Tech first this year? I mean, i understand where he is coming from. But, you have to play the teams that are on your schedule.
I think if they really want to be considered as National Championship contenders then they need to do what Utah just did in joining a major conference where they will be competing against BCS level competition throughout the season. Until then, they will always be suspect, they can literally "rest up" during the season as they won't take the physical beating that most BCS teams face nearly every week and are good to go for that one BCS game with everyone rested and healthy. Put them in the Pac-10 or Big 12 and then we'll see if they're undefeated year in and year out. I highly doubt it.

I dont think they belong there but they did go undefeated last year and return all of their startes which tells me that none of them were good enough to go to the next level which is why i dont think they belong in the top 5.

That's one of the most flawed arguments I've ever heard. Was Laron not good enough? How bout Dorsey? How bout Sheppard, Toliver, Barksdale, Nevis or the other 10000s of seniors this year who didn't go to the draft? Simply an awful argument.

Boise State would beat LSU by 2+ TDs

I'm sure scheduling is much more complicated than how I made it out to be, i.e. $/contracts. Also makes you appreciate the fact that we are in the SEC...It's unfortunate that Boise has to suffer for building a great program. Degraded only for successfully playing the hand they were dealt. Just seems like OOC games are the only answer. I'd rather not turn this into a play-off system rant.

Boise St is there because of the media and no other reason. They vote them up there to start the season then they spend the rest of the year talking about why they do not belong so that it makes them look like they know what they are talking about. It is just like what is going on in the SEC, we all holler SEC! SEC! SEC! when it comes to the bowl games but when it comes to the start of the season we rip each other apart about not being good enough to be ranked higher in the polls. It is bad enough we have to beat each other up during the year but it makes it doubly worse when we beat each other up in the press and that is why we do not get ranking credibility with the media.

I bet you right now if LSU, Bama, or Fla. would have the schedule that Boise has they would spend every networking our saying why they do not belong in the BCS rankings. But yet, they want to put Boise up there with that schedule and then try to defend it at the start of the season and then spend the rest of the year saying why they do not belong. Watch and listen to them on ESPN as the year goes along what they say about Boise, if they beat VT, but if they get beat they will drop like a drum out of the top 15.

I would bet you any amount of money that there is no way B st would beat us by 10 pts, much less 2+ TDs

I don't like to say this much, but you sir are in fact, an idiot.

I can usually agree with a lot of things he says, but beat us by two touchdowns Get off the ledge, brah.

I think we beat the living hell out of them. Any time, any stadium, and day.

Nah you're just a blinded homer who doesn't watch football outside of the SEC. Boise puts up points, against every one; we don't. They'd win by 2 TDs.

It is pretty laughable to think there wouldn't be any debate if there was a playoff.

They do put up a lot of points against weaker teams..

Thhier last 3 games against good teams.. 19 against Oregon(safety).. and 17 and 16 against TCU and one was an INT return for a TD

That is laughable.

Boise State played Georgia a few years ago. They were beaten so badly their QB had to go see a shrink.
