I know that a lot of posters on here to bash Lee, but I am ready to put the Pick 6"s behind me and really pull for this kid to make it.

I am certainly not a Jefferson basher by any means and if he lives up to his potential, that would be awesome.

But,

I have to say that in looking at all of the avaiable film so far on Jefferson and Lee inculding the Spring Game, Lee looks better throwing the ball. he certainly seems to have a better trajectory than JJ's ball. As for his Pick 6 in the Spring Game, PP will intercept a lot passes from good QB's this year.

I am a Tiger fan first and foremost and I wish both QB's great success this year, but I am very thankful that we still have JL and that he did not transfer.

Patrick Peterson would win the Heisman if we let him play quarterback.

Yep, JL just needs some real game day success...

Yeah we would be screwed if he did since we lost both Chris Garrett and Zach Lee. I think that Jarrett Lee deserves a second chance at QB. As I watched him play last year (limited as it was), he showed some maturity and looked much more confident in the pocket than his counter part.

If he could do this and get past whatever mental barrier he has, he could be a great one.

Jefferson is definitely good though, so we shouldn't take anything away from him.

What are the odds that a LOT of the people that were saying not so long ago that Jarrett Lee should pack it up and leave Baton Rouge, are now the same ones complaining about the limited number of scholly QBs we have at this point?

How much worse off would this team be if they'd gotten their way back then?

Immediately go to rehab...not one of those fancy ones either.

I'm also willing to put the pick sixes in the past, but I'm not so sure about putting Louisiana Tech in the past!

This kid is damaged goods. He got thrown into the fire when he wasn't ready, had a nightmare season, and as hard as he's worked to put it behind him, as tentative as he played last year, he still seems to have, as someone put it on this board recently, "snakes in his head."

He's a good and loyal kid, and given recent developments, it's a damn good thing he stayed, but I wonder if he would have been able to make a genuinely fresh start somewhere else with less pressure and prospective criticism.

You can put me on the JL bandwagon. No knock on JJ but Lee has earned the right to start some games.

Lee hasn't shown me anything ingame to say he should start over a healthy Jefferson.

Lee will get a chance to play, but the next time an opportunity comes along (like LaTech '09) he's gotta jump on it big time.

How so??? Seriously, what has he shown you to convince you of this? And when did he show it to you?

I am very glad he stayed at LSU, especially considering the situation now. And I hope he gets his chances to show us something in a game...(without it being because JJ is hurt)...but he has done nothing in a game to have anyone say this.

Lee has always looked better throwing the ball. Doesn't mean he's the better QB though.

Your telling me that Jefferson looked confident in the pocket last year. He holds on to the ball way too long.

The La. Tech game was bad. But so was the play calling. They never called easy passes to get him some confidence. They just aired it out again and again. I remember a drive in the second half where KW ran right up the middle 3 or 4 times for big gains, than They threw 3 deep passes that where incomplete.

Yeah the play calling in the La Tech game was suspect.

Last year it seemed our entire offense was forced, and every team seemed to know what we were gonna do once we lined up.
