I was comparing the measurables on rivals on these 2 guys and it looks like ford is lighter, stronger, and they run the same speed. If I am not mistaken Richardson was a power lifter and Ford ran track. Is Ford stronger and more athletic or are these numbers just wrong? Given how Richardson has played if the numbers are correct Ford should be starting every game this year.

Ford will be considered one of the greater SEC running backs by the time his days at LSU are over provided he suffers no catastrophic injury. I really believe this.

So many more things equate to a good running back.. I bet trent richardson is better than mark ingram at everything speed and lifting wise..

This isn't meant to shame Ford, more to describe how highly I think about Richardson:

There really isn't much Ford does that's on Richardson's level but to be honest I think the only RB in the nation on his level is Ryan Williams.

Yes I know how ridiculous it is to say that someone is better than the Heisman winner on their own team but I think Ingram is slightly overrated (Suh >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ingram) and Richardson will flourish this year (unfortunately).

Ford shouldn't be in the same discussion as Trent Richardson. We don;t even know if Ford is a top 10 running back in the fricking SEC.

I have to say that I agree with you. I like Ingram and I think he is a great RB but I do believe Richardson is the better of the two. Ingram even said last year after winning the heismen that Ingram was much further ahead as a freshmen than he was at the same time in his career.

Ford is better than anything Cheesedick will trot out there this season, so that's a decent start.

And after we rush for more than 2,600 yards and LSU doesn't go over 2,000 are you still going to think the same thing ?

Mike Dyer
Onterrio McCalebb
Mario Fannin

Remember those names.

that is true and all, but if Ridley runs like he's capable of none of those guys touch him, Ingram, Richardson or his teammate Ford because the dude is like a runaway locomotive.
