He really clowned all you guys. I hope some of the pay site hacks get email raped by their customers.

Yes. I hope the people that pay hard earned money for your services take this opportunity to realize how valueless the service you provide is. I certainly have. I mean I do not fault anybody in particular cause this was obviously a huge shocker in the "industry". It just kinda really makes the professional recruiting reporters look bad. Not trying to start anything but jeez.

I see where you are going for that. I pay for the paysites and at one point i was paying for all three. (TSD, TB adn INsider) but Over all i spend more tim ehere than anything reading the rumor mill here. I see what you are saying. i keep my rival now becuase I like the reasearch and eval on the kids from the scouts.

at some point every year i say this. recruiting pay sites are such a scam. one is theoretically paying for exclusive information, but the very nature of the recruiting process is that the information is always suspect. these are 16 to 18 year old kids who have lots of choices and in most cases(as is the norm for both kids that age and good athletes) egos that are out of check. what is true one day will probably not be true the next. why anyone pays for these sites is beyond me.

I am not trying to be all hoity toity here, because I have been following this lately also. But all the LSU sites were pumping up Ely. Seems pretty opportunistic of the kid to blow smoke up all these schools backside.

yeah sorry I put that in there. I am not nearly as clever or effective at communicating as a poster when I am using a mobile device.

I also feel really bad for someone who is so financially strapped they think 10 whole dollars is such a monstrous number. Following LSU and LSU recruiting is a "hobby" of mine, not many hobbies out there are as cheap as 10$ a month.
And for people who think "everything is on this site anyway", you couldn't be more wrong.

I am fairly awful as a poster on a regular computer also.
First time I have seen a early August presser for a soft commitment though. Wow.

I disagree, rumors about kids playing recruiting games is not worth $10 a month. I had a subscription for a month, that was all I needed.

I disagree. I mean just about everything with some sort of relevance gets out faster than Trindon holiday in the blocks. I think you have found a way to justify the value adn so have I . But its definitely not for everyone. Especially nega tigers. But After this year I may just go straight Espn and get the scoop on everyone. Plsu my espn is only 6 bucks.

If people did not pay, the info would never get here or anywhere I could access it, so I thank all of you who do pay from the bottom of my heart.

Maybe Nostradamus should start his own pay site. He seemed to be the first & main one who tried to tell us there was a good chance Ely could choose 'Bama.

Recruiting is possibly the most fluid, turmoil part of sports. There have been situations where I've been told information about as "straight from the horses mouth" as it can get and in about 24 hours it was incorrect. Like someone said, these are 16-17 year old kids who are enjoying their time in the limelight.
The reason I'm a part of a paying site is for two reason. First, and no offense to anyone on this site, but when it costs money to join a site it usually filters out some of the blatant homers. There are some very intelligent posters on pay sites that I enjoy bantering back and forth with.
Secondly, being able to speak with the mods and others on the site with legitimate information is the best way to determine the validity of anything you've been told.

I am really surprised this is this case. I would think if people were paying, they would be more difficult to regulate on a message board. I think this whole thing was a stunt to get people to buy a subscription to paysites and cash in on people getting interested in the season. Practice reports should be enough of a lure at this time of the year I would think.

If the guy did not have the forum to announce his soft verbal commitment, then there would not have been a press conference today.
