I disagree, P.J.

Gale Sayers is without a doubt one of the most electrifying players in NFL history, and he rightfully deserves that kind of recognition. His talent was truly once-in-a-lifetime. And that's why I have him ranked.

But I have him ranked at 10 because he only had 5 productive years in the NFL, and only topped the thousand yard rushing mark twice in his career.

Sayers' legend is enhanced due to his extraordinary kickoff return ability. But I can't take that into account when judging him as a running back. None of the other guys on the list was known as a kick returner. They are judged solely as running backs.

I'm showing a lot of respect for Sayers' ability by ranking him ahead of Marshall Faulk and Thurman Thomas, who had much longer careers and much more production in a much more difficult time to play football.

O.J. ahead of Dickerson... maybe. I'm a big Dickerson fan, and I'll admit that.

He was smooth but I didn't like he pussing out and not taking hits.
