would you like to see the tigers wear purple at home like you were used to seeing? or, do you prefer the white?

I thought our D was awesome in purple. attended LSU from '83-'88. it didn't matter when we lost to crappy teams like say MoO.

I want purple pants back.

The 1980s look was sharp, but mainly because the stripes went ALL the way around the shoulders.

White jerseys at home. Period.

Purple looks like crap and all I remember was us losing in it, Saturday night after Saturday night. I went to LSU from 1989 to 1993. We did have shite to cheer about, and we wore purple all the time! Woo! Fun!

I'm sure they lost because of the jersey color. Didn't they win the Sec in 87 wearing purple? Earthquake game was in purple, goaline stand against Notre Dame was in purple.

This is the correct answer.

i'm ready to see an all-black alternate with purple numbers and trim. i think that would be badass. and we would surely be able to defeat UNC with that kind of intimidation!

So LSU lost because of the color of the jersey???? So I guess coaching had nothing to do with it????????/
READ THE POST, PJ!!!!!!
Did I say anything about purple jerseys CAUSING the losses??
Would I actually post something so completely stupid as jersey choice affecting wins and losses?
All I said was that we wore purple every home game during that time period, and we lost those games. Therefore, when I see purple jerseys, I think of LOSING.
I didn't say that purple jerseys CAUSE losses.
Coaching, bad attitudes, lack of overall support and a crappy environment for winning is what caused all those losing seasons.
I prefer not to be reminded of that shite... so that's why I don't like purple.
Clear enough for you now??

On the flip side, can anyone name the last game that LSU lost wearing purple?

white, with the stripes going all the way around

Prefer white...but when we do wear dark jerseys, I wish they were actually purple as opposed to the blue that the jerseys look like now.
